Being the Sponsor for this year’s Mentor Protégé Program is quite rewarding in itself to our company.
McCrory & Williams’s commitment to supporting diverse and underutilized businesses with MAWSS stems back 20 years. In fact, it is part of our roots since its inception under Billy Wilkerson’s leadership as President and Owner of McCrory & Williams. Since the beginning, in our early years with MAWSS, Billy Wilkerson helped champion McCrory & Williams’s values and played an active integral role in supporting and developing UBE/DBE program with MAWSS. During that time, in the 1990’s, the vision for MAWSS DBE program was set in motion by a small group consisting of a handful of MAWSS staff and consultant engineers who “pioneered” the ways of today’s program. McCrory & Williams/Billy Wilkerson being one of those consultant engineers.
Twenty years later with Carah Hall as President, McCrory & Williams, now a certified WBE business under MAWSS Supplier Diversity Program, upholds the ultimate commitment of supporting diversity and MAWSS’s DBE Program and understands the value of diversity and maintaining commitment to MAWSS Supplier Diversity program.

McCrory & Williams, Inc is an engineering and surveying firm headquartered in Mobile, Alabama.
Founded in 1975 by William (Bill) McCrory, P.E. and Richard (Dick) Williams, P.L.S., McCrory & Williams was established with a focus on quality service.
Following Bill McCrory’s passing in 1997, Dick Williams continued to lead the firm into it’s next stage of aggressive growth until his retirement in 2000.
Upon Mr. Williams’s retirement in 2000, the firm was purchased by Senior Staffers, William (Billy) Wilkerson, P.E. and Merlin Miller, P.L.S., whose leadership carried the firm’s success and service to the community for the next two decades.
Planning for the future path of the company as Billy Wilkerson’s retirement approaches, in July 2018, the firm began to operate for the first time as a Woman-Owned Business with Carah Hall as President, Merlin Miller as Corporate Secretary/Treasurer and Billy Wilkerson as Vice President.
