Carah Vuncannon, P.E.
Owner, Corporate President, Senior Engineer
Carah Vuncannon, P.E. serves as Owner and President of McCrory & Williams, Inc., and is a Senior Engineer for the firm. She is a licensed Professional Engineer with more than 20 years of experience across all phases of project development, including conceptual planning, environmental assessments and impact studies, preliminary and final design, community involvement, contract administration, and construction oversight.
Ms. Vuncannon is actively involved in contract execution, client and employee relations, and the management of company and project budgets and finances. Her professional experience includes extensive work on water and sewer utility infrastructure projects, utility relocation and improvement efforts for state and local municipalities, roadway improvement projects, site development, and subdivision development for municipal and commercial clients throughout the Gulf Coast region. She manages projects from initial concept through final design and construction completion.
Ms. Vuncannon currently serves as Resident Engineer for the Spanish Fort Water System, Saraland Water and Sewer Service, and the Mobile Water and Sewer System. She also works closely with the City of Mobile, Mobile County Commission, Alabama Department of Transportation, the University of South Alabama, and private development clients.
Ms. Vuncannon joined McCrory & Williams in 2006 as an entry-level engineering intern and has since served in every capacity within the firm’s engineering team. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of South Alabama. Ms. Vuncannon is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Alabama and is affiliated with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Water Environment Federation (WEF).
William E. Wilkerson, P.E.
Corporate Vice President, Senior Engineer
William (“Billy”) E. Wilkerson, Jr., P.E. serves as Corporate Vice President and Senior Engineer at McCrory & Williams, Inc. A former Owner and President of the firm, Mr. Wilkerson is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 50 years of experience in the engineering profession.
Mr. Wilkerson brings extensive expertise in municipal utility infrastructure, construction administration, environmental services, and project delivery across federal, state, local, and private sectors. He remains a highly engaged, hands-on leader, actively coordinating and administering design engineering and construction oversight services. Widely respected for his professionalism and collaborative leadership, Mr. Wilkerson was honored with the Engineer of the Year Award in 1998.
Mr. Wilkerson joined McCrory & Williams in 1998 and has since contributed to more than 1000 projects for the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System (MAWSS). He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Polytechnic Institute. Early in his career, he served as an engineer with the West Virginia Department of Transportation.
Prior to joining McCrory & Williams, Mr. Wilkerson spent 23 years with BCM Engineers, where he held the position of Senior Vice President. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana, and maintains professional affiliations with the Water Environment Federation (WEF), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Water Works Association (AWWA), Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), and National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).
Sean M. Estes, P.E.
Project Manager/Senior Engineer
Sean Estes, P.E. serves as Project Engineer and Project Manager at McCrory & Williams, Inc. He is a licensed Professional Engineer with nearly 30 years of experience in infrastructure design and construction, with specialized expertise in transportation engineering.
Mr. Estes has extensive experience across all phases of roadway and drainage project development, including environmental studies during corridor identification, traffic control plan development, and the preparation of detailed roadway construction plans and bid documents. His background includes the design and management of roadway improvement and bridge projects for major highway corridors, stormwater drainage systems, and streetscape enhancements incorporating sidewalks and bicycle paths.
Mr. Estes has provided engineering services for numerous local municipalities and state agencies and currently serves as Engineer on projects for the Alabama Department of Transportation, Mobile County Commission, City of Mobile, and the Board of Water and Sewer Commissioners of the City of Mobile.
Mr. Estes earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Auburn University in 1996. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in the States of Alabama and Mississippi and maintains professional affiliation with the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).
